Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung recently featured two of our portfolio companies Terra Quantum AG and Aleph Alpha, alongside Marvel Fusion. Titled “Europe’s Beacon of Hope”, the article delves into breakthrough technologies such as AI, quantum computing, and nuclear fusion, emphasising the promising European candidates in these fields due to their excellent R&D.

Aleph Alpha is an AI research and application company that researches, develops and operationalises large-scale AI models for language, image data and strategy.

Aleph Alpha Founder and CEO Jonas Andrulis stressed the importance of European digital sovereignty in the article. "It's important for us to be at the forefront of generative AI," says Jonas, "We have some of the best universities here within commuting distance". The piece describes the AI research and application company as the "German answer to ChatGPT".

Terra Quantum is a leading quantum technology company that provides Quantum as a Service (QaaS) in three core areas: Quantum Algorithms as a Service, Quantum Computing as a Service, and Quantum Security as a Service.

Terra Quantum Founder and CEO Markus Pflitsch spoke about how the company takes "existing supercomputers" and uses them to "simulate the quantum computer". Demonstrating how Terra Quantum's hybrid approach can reap significant benefits today, Markus provides the use case of optimising banks' portfolios and cites some of Terra Quantum's clients including Volkswagen Group and Thales.
